Big Boy's Big BooBoo

While at my sister's house on sunday night for my niece's birthday party, Big boy was receiving a piggyback from his cousin's cousin and she tripped and he flew over her head. My nephew came running in the house saying "he is covered in blood", I assumed that he had a scratch or something little, but no his whole face was covered in blood, at that point I couldn't even tell where he was bleeding from. Thank goodness for my sister because I wouldn't have known what to do, she took very good care of him. He was so upset he even asked at one point 'am I dying" which made me start crying, I pretty sure I made it worse, but it really upset me that I could stop the pain my dad made me leave the room because I couldn't calm down so big boy was feeding off of me. His cousins cousin felt so bad, and we tried to tell her it wasn't her fault.

Thank goodness someone had candy in their purse because that is the only way that my sister was able to get him all fixed up. He has a bunch of scratches by his left eye, scratched up his nose really bad, big scratch on his forehead, busted his lip and in between his eyes are swollen. But by the end of the party he was right back outside playing with all of the other kids.

This was later that night when we were back home, he was a little upset when he looked in the mirror, and had a hard time with bath that night.

This was the next day at my parents, he isn't really bothered by it anymore, he does scratch and rub it a little. His left eye is starting turn black and blue.

This was today a little more bruising around his eyes and he doesn't want it covered up anymore and he can talk about easier. He still has swelling, but nothing slows him down. He has truely shown that he is my Big Boy.

Happy Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day, it's a really cute holiday. Big Boy had a Valentine's party at school, and I was the chairmom for the party. I planned them an activity do to, made them some goodie bags and brought cookies for the kids to enjoy.

Big boy had a lot of fun filling out his transformer valentines for all of his classmates. He had to make sure he picked out the right the one for each of our friends. Some of the names were hard for him to write, but he stuck with it and filled them all out by himself.

Big boy also made me a very nice Valentine's gift in his class, it had a really cute poem that came with it.

So at the party I had them make candy necklaces, come on you all loved candy necklaces when you were little, well I did anyways... So they did pretty good making the necklace, they only dropped a couple of beads on the floor.

The results were pretty cute too...

They had cookies, juicys and then sang and danced. Then we helped them read their valentines to them. I really enjoyed throwing the party and I think the kids had a really good time. Big boy did anyways.

Mommy's So Proud!!!!!

My big, now big boy is growing up so fast, I'm a little sad but so proud at the same time. Okay there are two things that he has accomplished in the last week that are really special moments and little milestones.

Okay number one: His Minkie

My big boy has had a blanket from pretty much birth.

This is my big boy before he was crawling, and about when he first got interested in his "minkie". So over the years he has gotten more and more attached to the blanket. They were inseparable, he would go to bed with it, carry it around the house and chew on it.

Big boy sleeping standing up at grandma's with "minkie", he was 2 or 3 in this photo.

Big boy was very proud of his "minkie", He wanted to take it everywhere. As he got older it was not so cute anymore and the blanket started to become very torn and ratty. He would pull it apart and wrap it around his thumb as he sucked on his thumb. In this photo he was like 3 or 4.

Well awesome guy and I were debating on when to actually take it away from him. I felt bad because it was important to him, but awesome guy said that the longer we waited the harder it would be. I asked big boy when he was going to be ready to give me the blanket and he said umm maybe when I'm 16, I was like no that's too long, and so big boy decided that he should wait till he was 10 well I thought that was too long also. So I decided that when he entered kindergarten that the blanket would be mine. He agreed. Well Saturday before I went to work he informed me that he was ready to give me "minkie", well I told him to wait till I got off work and if he felt the same way then we would put it up. Well when I got home I asked him and he said he had changed his mind and wanted well I went ahead and convinced him that big boys don't carry blankets around and then he agreed so he gave him the blanket and we put it away with his baby clothes. It's been two days and he's only asked about it once. I'm so proud of him!!

This is what it looked like when he gave it up, it was almost two pieces.

Number 2: Shoes

For about the last month we have been trying to teach him how to tie his shoes, and he was been pretty stubborn about doing the whole "I can't" and "I keep trying" well this morning we told him to try to do it while I was getting ready and he did it!!!! He ended up tying both shoes!!

He was so proud of himself... Look at him smiling. I'm so Proud oh him

Hockey, Hockey, We Love Hockey

We went to the Thunder Hockey game on Saturday, they played against the Oklahoma City Blazers. We were all there me, Awesome guy, Big Boy and a couple of friends. The Place was packed it was very exciting!!

This is Davis, last time we went to see the thunder play, Big boy got to meet him, had his picture taken with him and got his autograph. He loved it. Big boy takes after mommy and daddy and he really loves hockey.
There wasn't as many fights as I liked but there was one good one that they threw down and went to town, but the rest of them the refs wouldn't let the fights end up with anything.

There was also this guy named Cameryn dancing in the stands, he worked for thunder to get the crowd pumped up and rowdy. He was wearing layers of shirts and he would take them off and swing the around and throwing them into the stands. My big boy was trying to catch something the whole game either from thunder dog, Cameryn or the other people throwing things into the stand and the whole game was disappointed. Finally during the last period of the game, Cameryn came down to our section and was sitting behind us, Big boy being somewhat not shy was like Hey and cameryn starting talk to him. After a minute or so Cameryn handing Big boy a shirt and thank him for being a fan and told him to stay in school.

Now granted Big boy won't really be able to fit into this shirt for like 10 years but it's still he's special thing that he was given. The whole thing was very cute. Oh and Thunder beat the Blazers 5-2 it was a really good game.

My Little Archeologist

While my big boy was playing on the playground at school he found a piece of bone. We are not sure what it came from. He is very proud of it, he wanted to show it to everyone. His principle was joking with him about it being from a dinosaur, and big boy being 5 believed him it's very cute.
